Lacey Haines

Lacey Haines is a PR professional at Bite Communications with more than five years of public relations, social media and communications experience. Lacey works on the Parallels and HP Corporate and Innovation account teams.

Prior, Lacey was a PR Program Manager at K/F Communications where she managed and oversaw the day-to-day activities of her account teams, and the long-term PR and social media plans for her clients, including TwitVid, Flock, and RowNine. For two years Lacey worked with Digg.com, securing top tier media placement for major company announcements and proactive initiatives. In the fall of 2008, Lacey successfully placed Digg founder, Kevin Rose, on the cover of Inc. magazine. K/F Communications received accolades in 2009 and 2010 for work Lacey contributed to, including the 2010 Platinum Hermes Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals for best product launch (TwitVid's iPhone application), and the 2009 Gold Hermes Creative Award for best magazine placement (Inc. magazine).

Lacey is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, where she coordinates events as a member of the Silicon Valley Chapter's networking committee.

Lacey has developed relationships and secured client placements in consumer, business and trade press, including: USA Today, Reuters, TIME, Fast Company, Variety, TechCrunch, MovieMaker and The Guardian.

Earlier, Lacey honed her skills as the public relations manager for the stock aerial video start-up, ProAerialVideo.com, where she secured articles in both business and trade publications including: The San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal, Videomaker, and Studio Daily. And in 2005, she worked in the Press Office of Governor Mitt Romney (MA).

Hermes Gold Award
When I pitched Digg for an editorial calendar item with Inc. magazine in early 2008, we had no idea that it would result into an award winning cover story. The resulting feature earned the Digg account team at K/F the prestigious 2009 Gold Hermes Creative Award. I also make appearances both in the text of the article and in the photo spread!
